Mail Fishing
Sent in to us from Tony Miano of Valencia, CA
(TenFourMinistries.org)

I randomly selected phone numbers from the white pages and then went to www.whitepages.com and used the reverse phone directory to get a mailing address. That website has a feature that allows you to pull up a list of surrounding phone numbers and addresses for your entry. This allowed me to saturate entire streets with the gospel. Armed with this information (which is public information, just like in the phone book), I sent 200 of "my neighbors" (Luke 10:29-37) a nice letter and a million dollar bill gospel tract. I addressed each envelope to: "My Neighbor." I prayed for the recipients before I mailed the letters.

SAMPLE TEXT:

Dear Neighbor,

The million-dollar bill you are likely holding in your hand right now probably caught you by surprise when you opened this letter. Once you realized it wasn't legal tender, you might have paused to think about what you would do if someone had really given you a million dollars.

What if someone offered you a million dollars for one of your eyes? How about five million dollars for both of your eyes? Would you do it? Would you spend the rest of your life blind for any amount of money? Probably not. Why? Because your eyes and the gift of sight are precious to you.

It has been said that the eyes are the windows to the soul. The following statement is also true. “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?” Is not your soul of far greater value than even your eyesight?

To learn the answer to life’s million-dollar question, please take a moment to carefully read the back of this million-dollar bill. You may not have received a million dollars today, but what you have received is the answer to life’s most important question, which is of far greater value than all the money in the world.

Know that I (and others) have prayed for you—hoping that we will one-day meet in heaven.

Sincerely,
A Neighbor Who Cares
