 The Missing Link
Ray and his team have been taking a seven-foot-tall animated gorilla named "Link" (he was missing for years) to Huntington Beach, California, bouncing off the subject of evolution and preaching open air. Link sure helps to pull in a crowd--tourists even ask to pose for photos with him. After about 15 minutes of preaching last Saturday, authorities stopped the open air, saying that a permit was needed for Link. A pastor came across and said that he was setting up for a sunrise service the next morning, and asked Ray to do a "sound check." So he went across and preached a gospel message to a good-size crowd (the sound was fine). We have since found that it isn't necessary to have a permit (the authorities were mistaken). Feel free to join Ray, Link and the team at the base of the pier Saturday afternoons around 1:30 PM, beginning May 20.
