| Europe |
Thank you to all who prayed for us while we were filming in Europe. If you followed the travel blog, you know that Italian police detained us for an hour and threatened to seize our cameras and footage. They backed down, but at one point things were looking pretty bad. However, it will certainly make that part of the Fourth Season interesting (we kept the cameras rolling).

We had a teaching theme for each episode, preached open-air in thirteen countries, and filmed a lot of amazing interviews and incredible footage. All in thirteen days. Whew! We will be able to begin the editing process as soon as we have completed the Third Season. We're very excited about them both. We have ten programs in the can on Season 3 and are frantically editing. Please pray for us during this process.
By law, all broadcasts must now be produced in high definition, which costs $35,000 per episode, so we are definitely in need of sponsors to finish the season. As a non-profit ministry we are obligated to be supported by donations or we will lose our non-profit status (and this would have serious repercussions for the ministry). If you can help us, please contact: judy@livingwaters.com.
On a side note, we thought you might enjoy this. EZ (our general manager) received the following poem from his 10-year-old daughter, Julia, while he was in Europe:

A Lesson in Thankfulness
There once was a girl whose daddy went away
He went for two weeks and she cried every day
She began to be selfish and she wanted him to herself
She didn't even play or read a book from the shelf
As she cried, day after day
She didn't stop to think or pray
One day as she walked down a path, she cried
Then she saw a girl whose daddy had died
She thought for a moment and then started to pray
What would it be like if she didn't see him every day
She realized that two weeks wasn't that long
Compared to the girl whose daddy was gone
I hope you've learned a lesson in thankfulness
Instead of being sad, think of how much you're blessed |

| Go Fish! |
|
Hey, Mom and Dad, if you want some Bible-based music for your kids that won't drive you bonkers, you will love the new Go Fish CD, "Snazzy." (For those who don't know, Go Fish is a family-friendly Christian musical group.)
Kirk loves Go Fish so much that he gave copies of their last CD to his kids' teachers. Even Ray likes Go Fish!
Your kids will want to listen to it in the car, and it won't drive you nutty by being too syrupy or obnoxious. Best of all, your kids will hear great truths--and maybe even end up memorizing the books of the Bible with "Bible Book Bop."

| Halloween: National Evangelism Night |
It's that time again. The greatest night of the year for evangelism--when the world comes knocking on your door looking for a treat.
You still have time to get tracts. Halloween Special 1 contains 100 each of the Giant $100 Bills and Hey, Kids. Halloween Special 2 contains 100 each of all the tracts you see pictured here.
Additionally, if you'd like to make your own two-sided business-card-sized Halloween tracts, we're offering the artwork as a free download. Just copy the files onto a disk and take it to your local business card printer. One of the designs, for teens and pre-teens, has a back side that focuses on the fact that we're all going to die... and then the front points them to the gospel message on our website DeathBeth.com. The other design, for younger children, has a complete gospel message that begins on the front and continues to the back (in very small type).

| Generate Some Excitement and Transform Lives! |
In the last four weeks we've hosted two Transformed conferences (in TX and SC), and were so blessed and encouraged that over 8,000 people took time out of their busy Saturdays to attend. Sure, concerts and sporting events regularly gather tens of thousands of people, but when is the last time you heard of thousands gathering for an evangelism training seminar? Only the biblical method of witnessing can generate so much excitement! It truly does transform your life--and the eternal lives of those you speak with.
If you want to generate some excitement and transform lives in
your own area, help others learn to be faithful witnesses for our
Lord by taking a group through the 8-week Basic Training Course
or the one-day Crash Course. You will be blessed!

| Million Dollar Bill Arrest |
Uh, oh. Here we go again. This month a man in Pittsburgh tried to cash a Million Dollar Bill, and became very angry when the grocery store wouldn't give him the change. (What was he expecting in change -- 10,000 $100 bills?) It made the news when he was arrested. This reminded us of a year or so ago when the Secret Service seized a number of our Million Dollar Bill tracts from a Texas ministry, claiming the bills were counterfeit.
A recent TV news report stated that the police called the Secret Service to investigate this incident. We're wondering if they will trace the bill back to us. After all, there are more than twelve million Million Dollar Bill tracts out there with our name and address on them. Perhaps they will try to seize our stock. Here's hoping. The publicity is worth a million dollars.

| Instant Focus |
|
Instant Focus, our newest tract, contains a tiny pinhole that, when held close to the eye, sharpens your focus.
The front says:
If you have trouble seeing (up close or at a distance), put the hole up
very close to your eye, and it should sharpen your focus. Keep this card
in your wallet or purse and please make sure you read the back.
Then the back continues:
Someone gave you this card because they want you to focus on the most important issue of your life--where you will spend eternity. How do you find out? Simply pinpoint the... MORE |

Costume for Passing Out Tracts
Sent in by Mary H. of Oxford, Nebraska
Last year, our 7-year-old daughter wanted to be a mailbox for Halloween to hand out tracts. So we took an old cardboard box and some blue spray paint and made her a mailbox costume. She decorated about 30 business-size envelopes and we stuffed them with 3-4 tracts each. (We put in a couple IQ Cards, a Million Dollar Bill, and Are You Good Enough to Go to Heaven?) Then at each house, she smiled and said, "Here's a letter from your mailbox!" No one could refuse her.
We were pleased that not only could we hand out tracts with candy at home, but she could give them to the adults in the neighborhood.
Make a Pumpkin "Billboard"
Sent in by Anna J. of Bellflower, CA
We bought a pumpkin this year for the sole purpose of putting a "sign" on our doorstep to lead kids to deathBeth.com.
I did mine freehand, but if you wanted to make one you could use this stencil. Tape the stencil onto the pumpkin, and "trace" around the letters by poking tiny holes with a stick pin--this makes a dotted line for you to follow when you begin carving. Carve just through the dark orange rind (not all the way through). Since the pumpkin won't actually be cut open, it will last longer before spoiling. (And if you're no good at carving, you could always paint a pumpkin instead.)
If you had enough pumpkins--and enough time--I suppose you could put a complete gospel message on your porch!
