National Tract Day
We hereby officially rename "Halloween" as "National Tract Day." Over one hundred people came to Ray's door for tracts. His son Daniel Comfort (and his wife Becky) had more than 180 take tracts. Some kids were so excited about the Giant Money tract; they ran off holding it forgetting to get candy.

Public Access TV
Would you like your neighbors to view Living Waters videos, as well as other compelling Christian videos on TV? Joey, a friend of our ministry, has a way to help you do just that. He's been doing it for years in his hometown, using "public access television." Many TV networks have one channel set aside for local community members to submit their own material for broadcast. Public access is often free for local residents, and often all it takes is just a call or two to your TV station manager, and filling out a few forms, once you have the material on hand to broadcast. There you can get Christian-themed videos pre-formatted to use for your public access station.

Here's another way you can easily get our materials into the hands of others in your area—for free! Submit a request for your favorite book to your local library. Many libraries are happy to add books to their collection if requested by local residents, especially if the library lacks diversity in that particular subject matter. Joey found that there were 380,000 books in his local library collection, but only four were under "Christian witnessing." He pointed out this lack of diversity to one of his local librarians, and they've since added The Way of the Master to their shelves. You may also want to request The Evidence Bible (in soft cover - it's cheaper and more eye-catching on the shelf), since the Bible is often one of the most frequently referenced books--even by skeptics!

Free IPod

I run a full colored banner company as a side job and one day I designed a banner for street witnessing. It simply reads "Are you a good (bad) Person? Take this simple test to find out for your chance to win an Ipod Nano." It has a picture of the Ipod on the banner. We designed this for when we go out to a park for a church function we can simply put this on a van or a stand. People will read the sign and be drawn in by the free Ipod Nano display. We go through the good test and at the end of the conversation, we will give them a ticket in which we tell them that at a certain time and location in the park that day we will have a drawing (usually we will be having an outdoor concert so the drawing will be on stage). Right before the drawing we have a person speak briefly on Christ again so that we are absolutely sure the message has been heard. Then we give an Ipod Nano away. That is an investment well worth the price. This also brings the people to us (even though we also go out to them).

Growing Bolder

I have spent over four years going inside the courtroom and distributing your Court Tracts to those sitting, waiting to see the judge. A few months ago, however, I was ordered to stay outside the building (Hey, no arguments from me). This opportunity has afforded me many times of 'preaching' when fear doesn't silence me completely. Today I shared a joke, got some laughs, asked how many were waiting to see the judge and explained that one day we would face The Judge for the last sentencing and the tract I handed them had more information (yeah, it's wimpy but I'm growing bolder little by little). At that point, the least likely individual in the group sprang into life. She asked me if I was going to the Christian motorcycle rally this weekend and proceeded to tell all about the event, how we were in the last days and how people better be ready. It was like my timid effort fanned the spark of this little lady and right in front of everybody she burst into an inferno of fire for God. I can't speak enough about obedience. If we just do what our Lord commands, He takes care of the rest.
