Back
from India
So
much has been happening, it's leaving me spinning.
This includes a whirlwind trip to India (71 hours
travel). There EZ (our General Manager) and I spoke
at Gospel
for Asia, a wonderful organization that sends
missionaries all over India, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal,
and Sri Lanka. They have over 14,000 native missionaries
in various countries.
On
our way overseas, because of flight delays, we actually
missed our outgoing plane in Germany. We were busily
trying to re-book flights into India, but were somewhat
concerned with the logistics now that we had missed
the originally planned flight. However, God had
already made arrangements ahead of us, because suddenly
we ran into the most unlikely person -- K.P. Yohannan,
the founder of Gospel for Asia. He had been forced
to change his previous flight plans at the last
minute, or he would not have been there at the same
time we were. The three of us ended up on the same
flight into India, and then he was able to lead
us directly to the GFA headquarters. It's great
to see how God works with the delays and annoyances
in our lives to bring about his own travel plans
for us.

Ridiculed
for Witnessing
I
was encouraged recently when I received a
phone call from a woman who lives in Australia.
She told me that 20 years earlier, she had
been running along a beach in New Zealand
when I ran alongside her and witnessed to
her. She said that she ridiculed me, but shortly
afterwards was soundly saved. Since then,
she has led half of her family to Christ,
including her own father on his deathbed.
And now she and her husband travel together
and preach the gospel.
Never
be discouraged. Even if you are stoned to
death for the sake of Christ, God may use
your words to speak to someone who is holding
the clothes of those who sent you to Heaven.
There's no such thing as failure, when you
are faithful. |

Down
Under Agents
We
have established Living Waters Publications
down-under. Ben and Melissa Day are our zealous
agents (graduates of the Evangelism
Boot Camp). They recently hosted a seminar
in New Zealand and were delighted with the
turnout (many more seminars are planned).
See www.livingwatersnewzealand.com
for details. While you are there, check out
the new Australia and New Zealand million
dollar bill tract available for sale on their
site. |

What
Hollywood Believes
“I’ve
seen the results of this CD message
after I’ve given away this to people.
Praise God!” Steve M., Maryland.
Please
take advantage of the What
Hollywood Believes CD. It is low cost,
answers a number of the questions and objections
of celebrities, and has a very clear gospel
message.
We
also received this encouragment about the
What
Hollywood Believes
book: "I just wanted to let [you]
know that my father was converted reading
What Hollywood Believes . . . I will
pray for you and your family daily, as well
as Kirk and his family, Mark and EZ and all
your friends and fellow laborers. May God
truly bless His great work in you. -- Ty and
Barb."
Please
do pray for our staff. Seven (out of ten)
of the ministry staff’s wives have been
struck in recent months with very serious
health problems -- from breast cancer, to
panic attacks, to miscarriages, to lock jaw,
and arthritis. The wives’ names are:
Sue, Becky, Sarah, Chelsea, Kim, Yasmine,
Laura, Rachel, Carol, and Anna. Thank you.
By
the way, Charisma magazine kindly
asked me to write an article on faith in Hollywood.
It is in their April edition: http://www.charismamag.com/. |

Free--take
one
Sent in by Sean S.
I
work in a call center and I don't have a lot
of time off the phone to actually witness
to co-workers. So, I have put up a sign that
says "Free--take one," and I leave
your tracts in it. I had heard people say
that non-believers would ask for more of your
tracts but never had it happen to me until
yesterday. A person I didn't even know came
and was looking through the tracts for a new
one. I was able to give her the test your
reading skills. Thanks again, I love your
ministry and can't thank you enough. |

Showing the Church that
ANYONE Can! ::..
Sent in
by Craig
H. (Linton, IN)
We
have been studying Hell's
Best Kept Secret at
our church and I kept hearing
people say "normal
people couldn't do that
like Ray and Kirk do."
So another member and I
decided to make our own
"Way of the Master"
video and show the church
that truly anyone
could walk up to a stranger
and witness using this method.
We went to Indiana University
and just began to walk the
campus and talk to people.
It was so easy and a very
wonderful experience. In
about a two hour period
we were able to witness
to a Muslim, a Buddhist,
two Jewish girls (who claimed
that Jews did not believe
in the Ten Commandments),
a Mormon student, and two
atheists. We were just so
encouraged that we were
able to share our faith
with these people. Thank
you for being so faithful
and for teaching me how
to truly witness to someone
without just inviting them
to go to church with me.
By the way, I have now begun
to use many of your tracts
at my work place to witness
to my co-workers. I work
in an underground coal mine
and let me just say that
it isn't the best environment
to witness to people in
but your tract's have made
it extremely easy to do.
Thank you!

Those 'Hard-to-talk-to'
Family Members ::..
Sent in
by Kim S.
One thing that has always
been an inspiration to me
about Ray is how he is faithful
in the little things. I
remember reading once that
he said you have to be creative.
I have been wanting to witness
to my 86 year old Grandpa
for a long time. He lives
a couple of hours away from
me and we do not have a
very close relationship
yet I see him a few times
a year and I send him cards
in the mail. This year as
his birthday approached
I was thinking hard about
what I could do for him.
He has a very hard heart
and my parents have tried
witnessing to him a few
times this year and he did
not take it well at all.
I knew a phone call was
not the route to go and
he is not a reader so a
letter would not due either.
I decided to make a cassette
of me sending him a "birthday
message". I started
in the natural and talked
about how long he has lived
and how I was proud to be
a part of his big family
and then I swung it to the
spiritual and shared the
Ten Commandments and the
realities of hell and what
the Bible says about it.
(my parents told me he said
he was not afraid of hell
because he just believed
he would cease to exist
when he dies). I was able
to sit and go through the
law and the gospel and plead
with him about the realities
of the Bible...all in a
relaxed atmosphere knowing
I could always stop and
rewind and start over if
I felt I was messing up.
Though I didn't have to
do that....my first try
the Holy Spirit really helped
me with the right words.
I am going to start doing
this for other family members
and friends who live far
away who I don't see too
much that have been on my
heart. What a great way
to share the gospel in a
personal way and I really
think people will appreciate
the time taken to do that.
Anyway, that is my little
idea on a creative way to
share the gospel with others...it's
also nice for those of us
who are new at sharing our
faith. Thanks Ray for encouraging
me to get creative!
