Photo by NASA. That's the sun. The little blue ball is the earth (added to show the size of our planet in relation to the sun). Did you know that the earth could fit into the volume of the sun over a million times? Think of it... what sort of Being could create the sun? The Creator says, "I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings" (Jeremiah 17:10). How will you do on that Day? Have you kept the Ten Commandments? Have you lied or stolen? Have you used God's name in vain? He even sees your thought life. Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart" (Matthew 5:28). Have you ever done that? Have you ever made a god to suit yourself (within your mind)? There is one God, and you have to face Him. Alone. On Judgment Day.

That's a scary thought. Imagine being found guilty of being a lying, thieving, blasphemous adulterer at heart. Please, listen to your conscience. God doesn't want you to go to Hell, but that's where you will go if you die without His forgiveness. Justice must be served. But God is rich in mercy. He became a man (in Jesus Christ) and suffered and died on the cross, taking your punishment upon Himself. We broke the Law, and Jesus paid our fine: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Then Jesus rose from the grave and defeated death. That means you can be given everlasting life. Do what the Bible says. Repent (turn from all sin), and trust Jesus Christ alone for your eternal salvation - as you would trust a parachute to save you. Do it now; you may not have tomorrow. Pray something like this: "Dear God. I am so sorry for sinning against you. Please forgive me. From this day I will trust Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. In His Name I pray, Amen." Now read the Bible daily, and obey what you read. Go to: www.livingwaters.com and click on "Save Yourself Some Pain."

I really liked the text until I got to the part where it states: "Jesus paid our fine" That just does not do justice to the reality of where man is without the reconciliation and redemption of the work of Christ! The Word presents our predicament as being in such debt (to God) that it is a tremendously unpayable debt, not just a "fine". I can pay the fine. I cannot pay the trillion dollar debt that my total sin and depravity has created for me!

This tract is awesome! It meets 3 of my 4 criteria for tracts:
#1: It states that Jesus is God in the flesh.
#2: It presents the Law and sin.
#3: It presents a coming Judgment Day.
On sunny days you can easily hand this tract out, or just ask people, "Do you know where you are?" Also, with the solar flare, you may share that scientists are believing that in 2012 our sun is going to be having "maximum activity" - are you prepared to meet your Creator?
