I really like this witnessing clip because it brings out a very important point. It is amazing how straight forward and upfront and bold you can be in your questions with someone even if they look kind of tough, if you communicate to them that you care about them. Once a person understands that you really care about them about where they spend eternity, they tend to give you a lot more grace in the conversation. Also it’s very important to remember how critical prayer is. Never give up on praying for people. At the end of this interview you’ll see that this man Chris has had a relative who’s been praying for him and he recognizes that Ray’s encounter with him is probably an answer to those prayers.

Have you ever had the opportunity to witness to someone who is well… a little drunk? Sometimes you find yourself in that situation. Watch this interview with Ray and a guy named Marcus who’s had a little bit too much to drink. And he reveals that he thinks that all you need to do to get to heaven is to renounce your skins. I know he meant sins but it’s so important to understand the difference between confessing your sins and confessing and forsaking your sins like the bible says. Many people think that’s all you have to do live any way you want as long as you say I’m sorry you’re good to go. Ray shows the difference.

If you’ve been following The Way of the Master you know that a great question you can ask someone to get to the heart of their conscience is “would you consider yourself to be a good person?” Now a very easy trap that you can fall into with someone is if they say “no I’m not a good person in fact I’m a bad person or I’m a wicked person” the temptation is to say “oh they understand their sin and therefore I can go right to explaining how to find forgiveness of sin”. Well that’s not always the case. Watch as this man says that he’s not a good person but when Ray probes a little bit deeper he begins justifying his sin. Saying its not that bad and everybody else has done it too. And therefore he doesn’t see sin in its true light and he needs the same conviction that comes from using the law that everyone else does. That’s the only way he’ll see his need for a Savior.

I don’t know about you but when I go to share my faith sometimes I size people up by the way they look and I think to myself …is this person going to be nice? Or is he going to pound me? Well watch this interview. This guys turns out to be a teddy bear. This is really a dream witnessing situation for me. Here’s a guy who doesn’t really know what happens after he dies. He’s like many people he believes in heaven and is confident that if heaven exists hell must exist too. He thinks he’s a good person. But he turns out to be a false convert. So many people are in this category. Watch as Ray helps this man to see his need for a Savior.

Have you ever met somebody who wants to make a great distinction between being “spiritual” and being “religious?” And I understand that. Some people have had bad experiences with their church or with their religion but they’re still open to spiritual things. Others are simply trying to dabble with heaven and faith and prayer without wanting the moral responsibility that comes with Jesus and the Bible. Well this interview is one of those ladies. Her name is Suki. And Ray speaks with her and you can tell throughout the whole interview she’s desperately trying to hang on to her pride. She wants her own dignity and the ability to believe what she wants. She doesn’t want to go into the moral arena. And that’s exactly where she needs to go if she’s ever going to understand her need for the Savior and have the opportunity to be born again. This interview is very helpful.

I’ll admit the first time I watch this interview clip with a guy named Chris I noticed his mustache thinking whoa look at that thing! I mean he should get a sticker on his man card for the mustache alone. And then I noticed the bicycle he was riding and the handle bars are way up there. Well like a typical human being I’m judging the outward appearance and the bible says “while men judge outwardly God judges inwardly”. And it’s not until I watch to see Ray probe a little deeper into what this man believes that I found out this man’s very concerned about what God thinks of him. And we wouldn’t have known that if we hadn’t taken up the time to open the law of God the Ten Commandments and show Chris why he needs a Savior.

Well this guys name is Cory, Ray’s about to interview him and he’s just kind of your regular dude. You know he’s got his hat going, he’s got his thing going on and he professes to be an atheist. Well he backslides like most do when they’re confronted with the commandments. So watch this interview. This is pretty typical.

During one of our Living Waters Ambassador Academies there was a group of our students who had mentioned to Ray that there’s a girl over there you could never get through to. She’s a Jewish girl who is so closed to the gospel. So in classic Ray Comfort style he goes over and talks with her and says “You know we’re doing interviews and we’re looking for people in green shirts and they have to be Jewish”. Well she kind of laughed and said “well I guess that’s me” and he interviewed her. Does it ever make you nervous to talk to someone who’s committed to a different religion? Does it make you nervous to speak to someone who’s Jewish and bring up the name of Jesus Christ? How do you do it? How do you transition into the messiah and show them their need for a Savior? Well watch as Ray handles this situation very carefully and very skillfully even in the face of all of her obvious cynicism toward Christianity.
