Author Slams WSJ for Bias

MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- This weekend The Wall Street Journal pitted atheism against God (Sept. 12-13th 2009, page W1). The full-page piece was adorned with huge graphics of Charles Darwin going head-to- head with God. Best-selling author Ray Comfort said, "The problem was that both perspectives were pro-atheistic evolution. It was a farce in the guise of "Man vs. God." The newspaper is free to publish anything they wish, but they are revealing either ignorance or a strong bias. Darwin wasn't anti-God at all. In his famous book Origin of Species Darwin refers to creation as the 'works of God,' and calls Him the 'Creator' an amazing seven times. The Journal's 'pro-God' side of the argument conceded defeat in the very first sentence. It was pathetic. It's precisely because of this prevalent ignorance (or dishonesty) that we are giving away 50,000 copies of Origin of Species throughout universities in the United States this November."

Comfort plans to give away free a 304 page publication of Origin of Species at 50 top universities on the original book's 150th anniversary. It is being published in conjunction with his new book, Nothing Created Everything (World Net Daily) in which he reveals what atheists such as Richard Dawkins actually believe. "I have had many conversations that go like this," Comfort said.

"So you are an atheist. Do you then believe that nothing created everything, which is a scientific impossibility?"

No."

"So you believe that something created everything?"

"Yes."

"Then you're not an atheist."

"Okay."

The author, who hosts an award-winning television program, with actor Kirk Cameron, said, "All you have to do is present unbiased facts about the unscientific and unthinking nature of atheistic evolution, and then watch people change their minds (we have a number of professing atheists do that on camera). And when God is brought back into their worldview, they think about the importance of living in regard to moral absolutes. Evolution says that there is no absolute right or wrong, and that human beings are nothing but meaningless animals. God says that we have worth, and that there is absolute right and wrong. That changes everything."

He added, "We are very excited to give away Origin of Species because the introduction not only reveals Darwin's thoughts on the existence of God, but it lists the theory's many hoaxes, exposes the unscientific belief that nothing created everything, points to the incredible structure of DNA, and the absence of any species-to-species transitional forms. It presents a balanced view of Creationism with information on scientists who believed that God created the universe-- scientists such as Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Nicholas Copernicus, Francis Bacon, Michael Faraday, Louis Pasteur and Johannes Kepler."

Not everyone is excited about students getting both sides of the argument. One atheist said, "In this instance, I would advocate book-burning." The full introduction can be freely read on www.livingwaters.com.

What proof of science? Science can\'t answer for the origins of the Universe. But the evidence they claim they have doesn\'t point to random chance but to an intelligent designer. All the laws of the Universe points to God and the designer. Got example nsyutslistic process has failed to explain how non-living chemicals could self-assemble into the first living cell. Also how did information code can be in the DNA since information is something that can only come from an intlligence that can produce the information. Naturalism has never been able to give an explanation of why Darwins tree of life is upside down. Did you know this? In order for something to exist now then something must have always existed for eternity with the power of self existence with the power to make something from nothing. What sciece says is the nothing produced everything. Logic, reason and even science can tell you, that from nothing nothing can come.

Yes Chistians believe in sciecnce. I am a Sunday School Apologetics Teacher. If you have questions of faith let me know. Many Christians start having doubts because they think that science has all the asnwer I can talk to you both regardng science proof of intelligent design and also about the overwelming historical evidence for the reliability of the bible and the person of Jesus. Also not only from a scientific perspective but philosophical necessity for a firs cause. I can tell you what true observational science has discovered in the last 50 years that takes you to the necessary conclussion for the existence of God. If you need to talk let me know my email is: yolanda.planes@comcast.net

You say this universe exists as one of many? Exactly what proof does science have of this? I tell you NONE! This hypothesis with no foundation was put out there by science who knows they don\'t have any proof only a new hypothesis when they were confronted with the uniqueness and complexity of this Universe. Especially the privileged planed earth. Which is the only planet fit for life. By the time science saw this they had to either come with this ridiculous unfounded without any support and proof of many universes because if not the necessary conclusion would have been that the Great Designer (GOD) created the Universe. So what science did is step out of the realm of science into the realm of what now I call voodoo science. If you want Faith this is it what science and Naturalism is doing is lying through unscientific assumptions. Unfortunately I have in discussion seen a new breed of Atheism and it is what I call the Naturalistic Religion. But also what I am finding is the missinformation that people are getting from the so called scientific community. They are not doing the proper investigation from both sides of the scientific community. There are very good scientist that are being persecuted for abandoning the idea of Darwinian Evolution. But unfortunately uless you look at the evidence from both sides. What you are having is a blind leap of faith into Naturalism. Now my faith in God and jesus Christ is not blind faith but a faith that is compatible with Logic, Reason, Science and History. The evidence is clear. For God and Christ. Do the homework on both sides science for Darwin and Intelligent design and then tell me what it is of Naturalism that is so scientific. May Our Lord guide you in your quest for truth.

I think you are misunderstanding the quote you are mocking. It says,\"It presents a balanced view of Creationism with information on scientists who believed that God created the
universe...\" No one is claiming that Albert Einstein was a biblical creationists. They are claiming he believed God created the universe.

Further, I think you should note that Louis Pasteur was alive during the publishing of Origin of Species. Further, the same year the book was published, Pasteur disproved the old theory of spontaneous generation (an idea that is necessary for Darwin\'s theory to be correct).

Macroevolution is an extrapolation of microevolution. It is the idea that if given enough mutations and time a piece of pond scum will turn into a human. This is an idea about what happened in the past

...This type of science produces satellites and medicine. This is the type of science that made Christians like Pasteur and Boyle famous. The theory of evolution, which states that all life is a product of random chance and mutation, is not operational science. It is origin science.
Origin science makes educated guesses about occurrences in the past. Evolution deals with the unobservable past; therefore, its arguments are just as open to interpretation and faith as creationism. Notice, I

You ask a good question: \"Do Christians believe in science.\" The answer is very simple: yes. I can prove to you that Christians believe in science, because many scientists are Christians. Robert Boyle (chemist), Johannes Kepler (astronomer) and Louis Pasteur (biologist) were famous scientists who were Christians.

There are many Christians who are scientists today, such as Gary Parker (biologist), Jonathan Sarfati (physical chemist), Jason Lisle (astrophysicist), and Danny Faulkner (astronomer). Obviously, there are more, but I just wanted to give you some names so you can check out the facts for yourself.

Now let\'s look at your question a little deeper. You mentioned medicine, the solar system, and DNA. These topics deal with a branch of science known as operational science. Operational science deals with repeatable, observable processes in the present. This type of science produces satellites and medicine.

Notice, I

Hello, fellow Christians! I would just like to warn some of you not to fight fire with fire. It only makes the fire increase. Instead, try to fight fire with water. LIVING WATERS as this website is called.

Others of you have done great at balancing defiance with love. I\'m glad I\'m on your side, and God\'s!

I am not in a position to prove God to anyone but myself. (see Romans 12:2). Having applied scripture in my life innumerable times, having prayed to God to grant requests that He says He wants me to pray for and getting those prayers answered as He said He would makes it very clear to me that not only does God exist, but He is love, He is powerful, He is light, and that the scriptures are His instructional manual that He gave for our benefit. Not only for us to live by, but to also learn who He is and what Jesus Christ His son is all about. God does a lot more than just exist!
