MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- This weekend The Wall Street Journal pitted atheism against God (Sept. 12-13th 2009, page W1). The full-page piece was adorned with huge graphics of Charles Darwin going head-to- head with God. Best-selling author Ray Comfort said, "The problem was that both perspectives were pro-atheistic evolution. It was a farce in the guise of "Man vs. God." The newspaper is free to publish anything they wish, but they are revealing either ignorance or a strong bias. Darwin wasn't anti-God at all. In his famous book Origin of Species Darwin refers to creation as the 'works of God,' and calls Him the 'Creator' an amazing seven times. The Journal's 'pro-God' side of the argument conceded defeat in the very first sentence. It was pathetic. It's precisely because of this prevalent ignorance (or dishonesty) that we are giving away 50,000 copies of Origin of Species throughout universities in the United States this November."

Comfort plans to give away free a 304 page publication of Origin of Species at 50 top universities on the original book's 150th anniversary. It is being published in conjunction with his new book, Nothing Created Everything (World Net Daily) in which he reveals what atheists such as Richard Dawkins actually believe. "I have had many conversations that go like this," Comfort said.

"So you are an atheist. Do you then believe that nothing created everything, which is a scientific impossibility?"

No."

"So you believe that something created everything?"

"Yes."

"Then you're not an atheist."

"Okay."

The author, who hosts an award-winning television program, with actor Kirk Cameron, said, "All you have to do is present unbiased facts about the unscientific and unthinking nature of atheistic evolution, and then watch people change their minds (we have a number of professing atheists do that on camera). And when God is brought back into their worldview, they think about the importance of living in regard to moral absolutes. Evolution says that there is no absolute right or wrong, and that human beings are nothing but meaningless animals. God says that we have worth, and that there is absolute right and wrong. That changes everything."

He added, "We are very excited to give away Origin of Species because the introduction not only reveals Darwin's thoughts on the existence of God, but it lists the theory's many hoaxes, exposes the unscientific belief that nothing created everything, points to the incredible structure of DNA, and the absence of any species-to-species transitional forms. It presents a balanced view of Creationism with information on scientists who believed that God created the universe-- scientists such as Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Nicholas Copernicus, Francis Bacon, Michael Faraday, Louis Pasteur and Johannes Kepler."

Not everyone is excited about students getting both sides of the argument. One atheist said, "In this instance, I would advocate book-burning." The full introduction can be freely read on www.livingwaters.com.

\"We are very excited to give away Origin of Species because the introduction not only reveals Darwin\'s thoughts on the existence of God, but it lists the theory\'s many hoaxes, exposes the unscientific belief that nothing created everything, points to the incredible structure of DNA, and the absence of any species-to-species transitional forms. That\'s rich!...How many of the scientists listed above were alive when Origins of the Species was published?

    What a buffoon!

Only a moron would believe the crap served up by the Banana Man.

Einstein DID NOT BELIEVE in a Creation as Comfort is selling.

\"I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it.\" - Albert Einstein, 1954

\"I believe in Spinoza\'s God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fates and actions of human beings.\" -Albert Einstein

The Big Bang Theory does not state that \"something came from nothing\". If Comfort was ACTUALLY WELL READ IN SCIENCE, HE WOULD NOT MAKE SUCH AN IGNORANT STATEMENT.

\"Incredible structue of DNA...\" erm.....and??? An argument from incredulity is not a valid argument. Explain Chromosome 2 by creation...bet you cant. BUT, Theory of Evolution can.

No \"Species to Species\" transitional fossils??? Really? perhaps Ray is just too lazy to learn of them...knowing that finding them would make him a LIAR.

First, learn what \"Species\" is and look at Perissodactyls (horses, tapirs, rhinos) for example. Then stop repeating your lie.

Iv\'e been reading these comments and to say
the least their thought provoking. I believe
in the creator Jesus. Because the Bible which
I also believe is inerant. Shows me.

But just saying that won\'t prove anything to
a person who rejects the very idea of the one
true God, or any god for that matter.

Im not smart enough to be able explain all of
these things. You might check out information
provided by the former atheist Dr. Carl Baugh.

The decision you make effects eternity, and if
your right then none of this means anything,
Since were all animals anyway, and when we die
    it\'s all over.

But, if Christians are right and you reject
Jesus and his offer than you\'ll have to answer
to him without any recourse. The Lord loves all of us, but He won\'t be mocked.

Please, instead of getting angry because neither side is listening. Ask him to show you
the truth, even if you don\'t believe in him,
    He\'ll show himself to you.

THESE ARE PAGAN TRADITIONS THAT WERE MIXED IN. THE BIBLE SAYS WE SHOULDN\'T HOLD TRADITIONS, BUT BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD. THE WORD EASTER IS DERIVED FROM THE NAME OF A PAGAN (FALSE) \"goddess\", AND OFFENSIVE TO GOD.

Drew, you have a very well presented oposing viewpoint that has been dealt with by Jesus of Nazareth. Please read John 16:5-11. The flip side has alread been condemned by the One with the Authority to do so.

Who said it was not drawn by reason? Are there an esoteric set of reason rules? And one can get there from here, Drew. As before I have stated that there is One that knows what existed before and He has told us. That one is God. Full revelation has come through Jesus of Nazareth. I never say \"It must be God\". I say and testify to \"God has told Us\". Your answers always lead to there is no right or wrong and that is your down fall. There is absolute right, Just, and Good. Jesus is His name! Glory to Him!

If a person believes a truck is indeed barrelling down, I appreciate their desire to stop it from hitting someone.

HOWEVER ... if there is indeed NO truck whatsoever, then the savior/helper would have to be viewed in a completely different light ...

The original point here was not a pro or con on the position, just pointing out that the conclusion drawn is not based on reason. Doesn\'t mean it\'s the WRONG conclusion ... you just can\'t get there from here.

If no one can know (currently) what existence was \"before\" the big bang ... the no one knows - period. Could have been something (maybe the last universe before testing a LHC? :p), could have been nothing ...

\"Must be God\" is not a logical conclusion - it\'s a shoehorn. Doesn\'t mean it\'s not the right answer, but that it can\'t be inferred ...

    Erica,

You\'ve got it all wrong. Christians don\'t look down on you. And science is flawed. How many times over the past 20 years (the height of modern science) has science corrected itself? How many times have you heard, \"It has been common knowledge up to now that...But, now it\'s been discovered that...\" It was only 60 years ago that medical science\'s rule in surgery was \"Do not touch the heart.\" Science books from just 10 years ago are in error due to new discoveries. How can you place all your hope to the questions of God\'s existence on a doctrine (science) that constantly proves itself wrong?

Proof? Proof is not the point. Ephesians 2:8 states, \"For by grace you have been saved through faith...\" --NOT PROOF, BUT THROUGH FAITH. You will get the proof you demand--one day--Guaranteed! Just don\'t be naive enough to wait for the proof before you have faith. If you think about it, on judgement day, every single soul will BELIEVE. Yet, for only a few will it not be too late. If you will, hell is full of believers---they believed only after facing the Judge!
