KirkCameronThis morning my bride and I watched our six year old son recite his lines in his first grade chapel service. Oh, how we smiled with pride and joy and thankfulness! Walking with our children and a good friend along the bluffs overlooking the shoreline, we breathed deeply the salty air and smiled with wonder at all God had made. The Bible says, "A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones." (Proverbs 17:22) and "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4) It's not spiritual to have a long face. It's very odd to me that so many religious people never smile. If ever a people had reasons to rejoice, it's Christians! I do picture Jesus smiling, laughing, and rejoicing with his friends and family. To be sure, there is much to be sober-minded about, in light of eternity, but to limit your smiles is to quench the Holy Spirit who produces joy in the heart of those who are His! A wise man once said, "You can never be a better parent than you are a smiler! If the joy of the Lord is your strength, then the joy of the parent is the child's strength." Gloom and doom is for the demons. Seize the day! Smile. Rejoice in the fact that your name is written in Heaven and that the Lord is for you.  ~ Kirk

    listened to ur speech and after thought to my self what do i really want...iv

    I don't know if it's entirely correct to say that if someone doesn't laugh then
    all evils will come in. David Brainerd is said to be one of the greatest
    missionaries of the 18th century, yet he was always described as having a
    melancholic mood. God used him.
    I don't want to justify it because a Christian should rejoice and be happy, not
    in anything he does, but because his/her name is written in heaven. It also
    serves as a good testimony, especially in times of adversity.
    But despite a gloomy mood, a Christian can still be used.

    I just finished the Way of the Master at our church....I nevr thought I would be
    able to talk to someone (and get it all said without leaving out the important
    parts) about their salvation. I always just used mysself and my experiences.
    How God helped and changed ME! Now I feel I have the tools to step out their
    and talk to anyone, anywhere about the state of their heart and soul...and now I
    give out tracks everywhere I go. I thank you and Ray for giving of your time to
    teach people like me and to care and love us enough to want to help. Don't get
    discouraged or tired, be not weary or faint of heart! You are in our prayers!

    I was struggling with this same issue. I discovered the key is to read the word
    of God and to ask for God's help. He wants to be close to you, in fact he is
    close to you. Turn toward him. Don't just read his word, STUDY it. Use every
    chance you get to learn what God's says about you and Him. Ask God to help you
    understand Him. He will. "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the
    word." Spend time with Him like you would a new lover or your best friend.
    Learn everything there is to know about God. You will develop a true love for
    Him and you will be able to experience how really close to you He is.

    Ditto to what Lee said. Also get on your knees and repent of your sins and
    forsake your sins. Make Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour and do not look
    back. Pick up your cross daily and follow Him....meaning your life is now dead.
    You have a new life in Jesus. Trust in Him with all your heart and do not lean
    on your own understanding but in all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct
    your paths.

    This is a very pertinate question you ask. Veryone that does not have the seal
    of the Holy Spirit is under the influence of Satan. Simple as that. But you
    want to know more frankly about demon possesion. They will manefest. That word
    means they will show you by their actions. A person that is not indwelt by the
    Holy Spirit has little chance of seeing a manafestation because demons have no
    reason to do so and it would be counter productive. Someone with the Holy
    Spirit in them on the other hand is a direct threat to demons and they will
    manefest in thier presence.

    You are right Glen. I got saved a little over 3 years ago, and almost
    immediately afterward I began having a lot of strange thoughts, leading to
    strange actions. Eight days after I got saved I had to be hospitalized in a
    psychiatric facility. Only recently have I come to understand that it was demon
    posession. I would not allow myself to consider that for a long time, because I
    thought as a born-again Christian that was impossible. It is not. I understand
    now that my soul is really just my mind, will, and emotions. My spirit is
    seperate from that, and in fact was never more alive to God than what it was
    during that time. It was like some strange war was going on inside of me. But I
    held on to Psalm 100:5 "The Lord is good" through it all. That's the
    verse God used to lead me to the cross, and it's the best one I know of for
    trusting him every day. I don't have to understand everything about God, but I
    trust him com...

    Wow sister that's wild! I accepted Jesus as my savior about the same period of
    time ago. I say it like this for a reason. Just like Peter that recognized
    Jesus Before the Holy Spirit was given in the baptism I came to know who Jesus
    is when I accepted Him--that is when I was "saved". This is a highly
    debated topic so be awake. Many believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is
    different than the baptism of water (John). When I read Peter's witness to the
    gentile I see NO water batism before the Holy Spirit indwelt the people. They
    dunked them afterwords. Apollos was very good at preaching the gospel but also
    was not baptised in the holy Spirit.

    Right now I am exploring whether or not I have the baptism of the Holy Spirit
    and only know who Jesus is. There is a difference. Watch in the bible what
    happens to people that really do get the Holy Spirit baptism, they also
    manefest. This word does not have a negative connotation like it does with
    demons. The Holy Spirit comes with Power! The people began to do things with a
    supernatural authority (power). So, Do I have this supernatural accompanyment?
    THat is the question i ask myself. See The Hoy Spirit is God. ANd He has come
    to live inside us to help us. To acompany us. We don't do the supernatural
    stuff HE does. All I have to do is preach Christ crucified.

    Lizzy, if you are not indwelt by the Holy Spirit you cannot get rid of a demon.
    They will laught at you and even hurt you if you are not careful.

    Jesus teaches us how to eradicate a demon. It takes only a simple command. But
    the command MUST come from the Spirit living within you. When the Spirit
    indwells a person He gives them His power. Another way to say power is
    authority. Oncce a person with the baptism of the Holy Spirit calls out a demon
    they cannot say no. BUT they fight with all they have.

    Now this is a much debateble topic. Unlike the Ghost Whisperer starring Jen
    love Hewitt people don't wonder round the place awaiting the light. That just
    isn't reality. So then what are these things called Ghosts? Humans don't see
    the Spirit realm at all. Some claim to be able to but with a limitation. It is
    not clear. Kind of like looking through smoked glass. They are called sooth
    sayers and the like. They have been around forever. Most will tell you that
    they are demons.

    I wanted to say one more thing about 'ghosts'. This word carries the meaning of
    'things spiritual' in nature. In other words ghost and spirit are the different
    words descibing the exact same thing. Simce Christians believe in the Holy
    Spirit (some say ghost) they must say yes to the question, "Do you believe
    in ghosts?". I believe in the Holy Spirit. Since He exists I also know the
    spirits of darkness exist because He has told me so. As a net result the word
    ghost and spirit are also connectable with the fallen angels we know as demons.
    This is why we say Holy Spirit rather than just Spirit.

    You really help athiests with thier arguments. Your lack of knowledge in
    scientific history really helps to destroy any shred of credibility you might be
    able to scare up.



    There is nothing funnier than watching you make outlandish claims that you have
    no idea what you are talking about.



    It amazing really, if god is so smart, why does he allow idiots speak for him?
    If god cared that much, hed settle the argument for himself. I guess he doesnt.

    When someone is this critical or mean, I believe there is a lot of hurt in their
    life. I am sorry that you are so quick to reject and put down something that
    would set you free if you were able to consider it. Scientific history is very
    short. There is a lot of scientific theory that goes back "millions and
    billions of years." Theory is and idea, not a fact. Like the Theory of
    Evolution, etc.

    This is what Jesus told his disciples about the order of seats in heaven.



    I read this and thought about a time when I was a lil boy riding in the pick up
    truck w/ my Papa Link. He died in 94 from smoking (lung cx). He was already
    kinda in bad health and we were riding around the farm checking on his tobacco
    barns because he was curing/cookin his tobacco. He would ride about 15 mph on
    those back country roads chewing his tobacco. Every now and then he would open
    up the drivers door and spit his bacca juice on the road. He turned to me and
    said, "Looka here son, we got the whole road to ourselves. We are in 1st
    place ahead of airy body." I replied, "Naw Papa, everybody else is way
    out there in front of us." He thought that was the funniest thing in world,
    and think its prolly cause of this verse though he may not have realized it,
    except through his subconscious mind.

    Ilove the joy my children bring into my life. Last night my littl girls were in
    bed giggling and laughing--I told my husband lets not tell them anything about
    it being late--let them enjoy their short time as sisters in our home. The joy
    of this season has plenty of tears, so enjoy the love and laughter we have now.

    They laugh at things that are not funny with mockery which is a
    spirit...........

    They would say something like As long as we've got Kirks mother he will do

    But it is a little sick and all of satans humour is a little sick and
