Outreaches of Living Waters

It is our honor and privilege to partner and serve with you as we strive to be obedient to the command of our Lord as stated in the Great Commission. Our hope is that each outreach that the Lord guides and inspires us to create, would be viewed by you as an opportunity to extend your evangelistic reach all over the globe. It is your involvement and financial support that makes each of these outreaches effective. As we work together in each area, lives are being changed and the lost are coming to true repentance. Below is a listing of the main outreaches of Living Waters. Thank you for making each one an effective tool of the Lord.

The Ambassadors’ Alliance

Living Waters has commissioned a brand new outreach of the ministry called the Ambassadors’ Alliance. The Alliance includes “Embassies,” which are churches recognized by Living Waters as ascribing to biblical evangelism and whose leadership and/or delegates have successfully completed the Ambassadors’ Academy. These churches will maintain regular evangelism training for their members, as well as a viable and aggressive evangelism ministry within their church.

Street Evangelism

This weekly outreach focuses on preaching the biblical principle of man's need for repentance and salvation at outdoor venues such as parks, beaches, higher educational facilities, and anywhere the general public might be found in large numbers. In addition to speaking, Living Waters’ tracts are passed out and discussed one on one between ministry volunteers and members of the general public. The outreach is highly effective in that biblical teaching is going out to the public on a regular basis. It also provides a consistent real-world opportunity for the training of Christians to effectively share their faith.

Benevolence

This simple outreach seeks to meet urgent, critical needs of individuals and families made known to Living Waters. Assistance can be in the form of limited financial help, such as the paying of a utility bill, or in providing connection to other organizations that might be able to offer assistance by means beyond the scope of the ministry. Each request for assistance is evaluated by the management of Living Waters to determine whether or not the request falls within our scope to address, as well as by determining the best short-term and long-term solution alternatives.

Language Translation

This program serves as a means for supporter of the organization to partner with us to have certain evangelistic teaching and resource materials translated in different languages. Our Basic Training Course has been translated into Spanish and is currently in the mass production process. The Spanish version of the Basic Training Course is expected to be ready for distribution in the fall of 2009. Currently, additional tracts and materials are also being translated into Spanish.

Int'l Missions Project

Currently, this project is centered around the support of a missionary based in New Zealand. This missionary sends monthly progress reports on his activities, which are kept on file. We have also been able to aid resource agents in Canada, Australia, Europe, Asia, and South Africa in their efforts to provide gospel tracts and literature to their local communities and churches.

School of Biblical Evangelism

The School of Biblical Evangelism (SoBE) is an online Bible School, dedicated to training men and women to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The school was established in 2001 by Living Waters. Through 101 online lessons, including audios, articles, and videos, students are challenged to have a biblical worldview. Each lesson is designed to equip the students to defend the historic Christian faith. The course takes approximately six months to complete. Total students since inception = 11,000 enrolled/completed.

The Way of the Master Television Series

The Way of the Master Television Series is a contemporary, cutting edge program hosted by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. Each 30-minute episode deals with topics ranging from biblical instruction regarding evangelism to highlighting the differences between the Christian worldview and that of other religions. This engaging format is used as a platform to instruct Christians on how to share and defend their faith by including interviews of well known biblical teachers and scholars, as well as actual "on-the-street" interviews and encounters with the general public. Each broadcast season consists of 13 half-hour episodes. To date, three seasons have been produced and are regularly broadcast on global station networks such as the Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN). The series is broadcast on approximately 20 stations and channels in over 70 countries. Estimated viewership claimed by the different networks is in the millions. DVD versions of the series have been produced, and over 60,000 copies have either been given out or sold as an instructional resource. Season IV is currently in production.
